Breed Rescue
The BTCUK are a dedicated breed club, we ask all members to support the club rescue activities and fundraising, and work with our Recue Members on all issues relating to Breed Rescue.
Why do we need it? Unfortunately as a breed expands so do the problems relating to our dogs, this is not new is it. Rescue and re-homing is becoming an ever increasing problem and is created due to a number of factors; death of the owner, unable to care for a dog due to old age, the break up of marriages and partnerships, financial reasons to say but a few.
Rescue Members are a very special band of people and tends to be one of those functions that, to the majority of members, just happens, but always in the background and does not get the publicity it deserves. The BTCUK, will always make rescue issues an integral part of our committee meetings, and actively raise funds to ensure we are doing everything in our power to assist people needing our help and advice.
One of the issues is how we can, as a Club, obtain a greater involvement from  members towards  Breed Rescue, instead of just another article in a newsletter. Dedication is the key word. A Breed Rescue has always been, and is still, run by people who must be admired and praised for the time, effort and personal dedication for the welfare and caring of the breed. The BTCUK will always support those members.
